In recent weeks, rumors have surfaced that Lenovo may enter the handheld gaming market with its portable gaming PC. Today, Windows Report published a new article claiming to have leaked the first images of Lenovo's handheld.
The outlet shared several photos of the new yet-to-be-announced Lenovo device, which Windows Central reported last month was called the Legion Go, a portable gaming PC rumored to run Windows 11. The images Windows Report shared show that Lenovo's portable gaming PC looks similar to other handheld PCs like the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally, but is identical to the Nintendo Switch in a few ways. More specifically, the alleged images of the Legion Go show a detachable gamepad similar to the Switch, with the rear offering a kickstand like the one found on the Switch OLED.
The leaked images also show two back buttons on the rear of the detachable gamepads, while the front right gamepad shows a vertical touchpad just below the thumbstick. Based on the images showing detachable gamepads, Windows Report infers the Legion Go's display will be a touchscreen.
Lenovo has yet to announce a new handheld device, though this would not be the first time it has explored the handheld gaming device market. The company previously worked on Legion Play, an unreleased device that ran on the Android operating system, and at CES 2021 the company collaborated with NEC to release a concept device called the "LaVie Mini".
