The Trophy Hunt has begun in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3! Here’s how to get Trophies and what rewards you’ll be able to claim for your hard work.
What Is a Trophy in Warzone 2 & MW2?
Trophies are exclusive collectibles resembling coins with a gold skull emblem that only appear during the limited-time Trophy Hunt event in Warzone 2 & MW2 Season 3.
These collectible objects drop from AI and enemy Operators as they fall in battle, allowing players to pick them up and redeem them for prizes.
Trophies can be exchanged for various permanent rewards such as Calling Cards, Double XP Tokens, and Weapon Blueprints in the Event exchange store.
What’s more, any unspent tokens will be converted to XP at the end of the event.
Trophy Hunt End Date
The Trophy Hunt event will come to an end at the start of MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded.
There is currently no confirmed release date for Season 3 Reloaded but it is expected to launch on May 10, 2023.
Until then, players will be able to collect Trophies, redeem them for prizes, and even earn a few exclusive rewards based on their performance!
How to Get Trophies in MW2 & Warzone 2
Here are all the ways that players can claim Trophies in MW2 & Warzone 2:
- MW2 Multiplayer
- Eliminate enemy players and manually pick up their Trophy to immediately bank them.
- In round-based modes Trophies will be banked as soon as the unique enemy Operator is eliminated, preventing the need to pick it up.
- Warzone 2 Battle Royale / Resurgence / Plunder
- Eliminate enemy Operators
- Eliminate AI Combatants
- Find Trophies as loot.
- Then, win the match or bank Trophies at an Upload Station.
- Trophies are lost upon death unless banked beforehand.
- Warzone 2 DMZ
- Eliminate enemy Operators
- Eliminate AI Combatants
- Find Trophies as loot
- Then, successfully extract or bank Trophies at an Upload Station. Trophies are lost upon death unless banked beforehand.
In Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer, it is impossible to lose collected Trophies as they are immediately banked. However, Warzone 2 and DMZ players will need to make use of a Buy Station or survive their games to claim their Trophy hoards.
Fastest Way to Earn Trophies in Warzone 2 & MW2
The fastest method of earning Trophies in Season 3 is by playing fast-paced Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer games, such as Team Deathmatch or Domination.
In these modes you’ll rack up dozens of kills with ease, and you don’t risk losing Trophies by dying.
However for Free-to-Play players, DMZ is by far the fastest way to collect Trophies as you can eliminate AI and bank your Trophies at Upload Stations that are far less contested.
Of course, the longer you live, the more trophies you can accumulate per match in Warzone. A great way to survive is by getting yourself the Tempered Plate Carrier in Warzone!
How to Bank Trophies
Trophies can be banked (and therefore not lost on death) by interacting with an Upload Station in both Warzone 2 modes and DMZ.
These new locations will appear on your mini-map as a circular icon containing a skull and ’03’.
When a player interacts with an Upload Station, they’ll get a notification stating that their Trophies have been banked.
Players can also extract in DMZ or win their Warzone 2 match to bank all Trophies that are currently on their person.
Modern Warfare 2 players have it easiest, as they don’t need to bank Trophies manually. Each Trophy collected will instantly be banked. What’s more, in round-based modes like Search and Destroy, Trophies are collected and banked immediately for every kill you attain.
